53hrs BOV Volleyball Marathon

40 players went through 5 weeks of intensive training under the scorcing sun at St. Claire's College, PEmbroke and at Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi in preperation for the upcoming volleyball marathon.

This year technical preperation was entrusted in the hands of BKVC's president, Mr Stefan Decelis. Mr Decelis is running the technical department for the third time. Mr Decelis is no newbie to such events, he participated 12 times as player in the old volleyball marathon that it was being held by the Kerygma Movement.

Ms Raycine Cassar is part of the coaching staff helping the techincal director. Ms Cassar is a senior player of BKVC. This year saw also two of the junior players joing the ranks, Ms Klyona Fenech and Ms Kelsey Vassallo.

Three athletes from the mixed fun volley team also joined this year edition as players, Ms Emika Watanabe, Mr Andre Gauci and Mr Dorian Mallia. Ms Watanabe and Mr Mallia managed to make it to the final cut and they will be part of the 40 player contingent. Mr Gauci had to retire from the race due to work commitments.
